How we work

  1. 1

We analyze your situation and possible options.

  2. 2

We explain which documents are usually needed and what may be missing.

  3. 3

We help prepare the package, response or next step.

What to prepare
  • Passport or another identity document.
  • Documents confirming your current stay or status.
  • Documents related to “Residence card for students”.
  • Office letters, wezwania or decisions, if you have them.
  • A short description of the situation and the question that needs to be solved.

The exact list depends on your situation, the stage of the case and the requirements of the specific office or institution.

What is important to know
  • Requirements may differ depending on the ground, documents and institution.
  • The office or another authority may request additional documents or explanations.
  • Fees, timing and the order of actions should be checked before filing.
  • We help prepare the case and reduce the risk of mistakes, but we do not guarantee an authority decision.

Check the study basis

Confirm the study mode, institution status and tuition to see what must be checked before MOS.

This is a preliminary assessment. The final route depends on your documents and the current rules.

MOS filing and the university annex

From 27 April 2026 the application is filed through MOS. For the study route, the university receives an electronic request, completes the required annex and signs it; where mandatory, filing cannot be completed without it.

What the authority checks

The authority compares actual studies, study mode and student status, funds, insurance, tuition where applicable, and consistency across all documents.

Work, study changes and the graduate route

The right to work is linked to the specific study status. Changing university, study mode or ending studies may affect the residence basis; a separate one-time post-study route exists for some graduates of Polish institutions.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply after my studies have already started?

Yes. You can apply during your studies as long as the application is filed before the end of your legal stay.

Do language courses qualify?

It depends on the type of course and educational institution. Not every course provides a basis for this residence card.

Can I work with a student residence card?

Students can usually work, but the rules depend on the circumstances and may change. We confirm the current requirements before filing.

Can I file before the university annex is completed?

If the annex is mandatory for your procedure, MOS will not allow completion without the university completing and electronically signing it.

Can I work while studying?

A qualifying full-time student status may allow work without a separate work permit. Confirm the current study and residence status before starting work.

What if I change university or study mode?

Before making the change, confirm whether the declared purpose remains valid, which documents must be updated and whether notification or a new action is required.

What is the best first step?

Start by reconstructing the facts and dates, then confirm the legal basis before collecting documents. This keeps the list aligned with your actual situation.

Can the authority request additional documents?

Yes. A standard list does not limit the authority, which may request explanations or further evidence needed to assess the individual case.

Are original documents required?

Keep the originals and take them to an in-person visit if requested. Electronic copies must be complete, readable and in the required format.

Is a sworn translation required?

Documents not issued in Polish often require a translation by an authorised translator. The exact scope depends on the procedure and the document.

How long does the procedure take?

An exact duration cannot be promised in advance. It depends on the authority, document completeness, checks and any additional requests.

What should I do after receiving an official request?

Record the delivery date, read every requested item, the deadline and the response method. Reply in the same structure and keep proof of submission.

Can the whole process be completed online?

It depends on the procedure. Electronic filing does not rule out an in-person visit, identity checks, biometrics or presentation of originals when required.
